Scammer

Bought item off facebook from michael scott who said he was the administrator. We zelle 170.00 only to receive a tracking number and email stating to send another 100 to release the item. It was a insurance fee refundable when we spoke to seller he stated we use it all the time its fine but only way to send money is again through zelle. We decided to take the loss 170.00 and not send anymore money but this was total scam.

I purchased an item off of Facebook from user using the name Cynthia Simms. I paid her via Zelle and she sent me a tracking number through the company named Aqua Freight Logistics. This company emailed me stating I had to pay a REFUNDABLE $150 insurance fee to cover any damages during the delivery. After a few days I received another email stating I needed to pay another $150 in stamp fee clearance and administrative paperwork fees. Cynthia stated this was completely normal and both fees were refundable. $150 was sent via cash app to a Julie Barsby and the other $150 to a Carlos Gomez. When asked why 2 different people they stated it was the same company just different administrators handling the different fees. It's been almost a month and still no package and when I went to my local UPS store because the tracking said UPS would handle the final delivery, they stated the carrier number was a bogus non UPS number. No communication between the company or the original person I purchased from.
