Giant Scam

I got a message from Jeff Roland about them seeing my application then I went through Microsoft teams to speak to Jack Mary to “interview” and then they told me to download Skype and I assumed I’ll be talking to my “supervisor” Marion Scott through call to discuss about work equipment and intstead we texted the entire time. I went through paper work as well and sadly I also put in my SSN and deposited a check. After my bank said they’ll put that check to hold I questioned everything and looked at all the names and what email the “check” came from and all the names sounded to fake so I decided to do research on if it’s normal getting a check to buy stuff or have them ask if I can afford the shipping fee since the check didn’t clear. (I did not give them money) Immediately everyone was saying scam or to contact the legitimate company or look up the company name following scam and here I am. Seeing that same Jason Spencer email [email protected] now realizing I am being scammed and hopefully not needing to owe money to anyone and that fake check just gets blocked. I’m 21 years old just trying to survive :(

I applied for a job through Zip recruiter, I got an email from the suppose of company Apree Health as a remote data entry clerk, telling me to connect with a women in Microsoft teams. I did and I went through interview. I got the job and she told me to connect to my new supervisor Jason Spencer. I did all my new hire paper work which had SSN on it. And when it came for direct deposit they went about a different way and my bank blocked and told me they were fraud.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am in this exact situation and I just finished answering the interview questions which were all done through text on Microsoft teams which was the first red flag for me. Now I know exactly what to look out for after reading this.
