This company posted a job offer on Facebook stating it was for appointment setting. I was scheduled a call to interview on May 30th and then rushed into speaking with a hiring manager, named Omar Rein who has also used the name Omar Reynoso, who then also claimed he was an operations manager. I also spoke with Lorenzo Boffa who claimed he is a college student and even has a LinkedIn profile, but doesn't have Appointment Setting Co as an experience listed. Then I was able to be put into a group chat with them two and Connor Butler, the CEO, who also has a linkedin profile and has been running Appointment Setting Co for ~3 years. They said the commission rate is 5% and the deals they are closing are 6,000 (so $300). The math shows that maybe you get 1-2 closings per week or a maximum of $2400 a month and not the said $2500-4000 per month. I was told to find training and that they would have to have me open a credit card through American Express and that they would then reimburse upon completion of training. They have had me and many others sign a contract (and dispute waiver below too) stating that we would be provided all necessary training including scheduled meetings, calls, etc, and that after 60 days the credit line would be paid off by the company. However that contract also says we would be offered jobs after 30 days. While they also stated that we would be making money as we went. Within the first 24 hours of “training” we were then told the actual job description, which was not at all appointment setting, but calling other people from a call list to hire them on as appointment setters. It was all a complete lie. Their contract is based on a lie and so is null and void. They also lied about an app they had us download, Slack, stating it was used to keep in touch, but they don't communicate back. They also send out information and don't reply to any messages people like me who paid for the training. They used Fanbasis as the merchant to buy the education program from for 6000. Within my first day of training we were instructed to call 50 people twice a day, send 50 emails, and 50 text messages, as well as participate in the daily posted team meetings and calls. I got wrapped up in this on May 30th, and I wasn't even added to the Slack Channel to access the training until June 13th. I had to ask multiple times to a "Coach" Sasha (linkedin profile also attached) to be added. They were not holding up to their side of the contract while also telling us that we had to hit our minimums and watch those videos on time. Every time there is a meeting, the recording isn't posted on the slack channel and when I asked, I have gotten no reply and still don't see anywhere the meeting is posted.

This company posted a job offer stating it was for appointment setting. I was scheduled a call to interview and then rushed into speaking with a hiring manager who then also claimed he was an operations manager. I was told to find training that they would have to have me open a credit card that they would then reimburse upon completion of training. They had me and many others do this and sign a contract stating that we would be provided all necessary training including scheduled meetings, calls, etc, and that after 60 days the credit line would be paid off by the company. However that contract also said we would be offered jobs after 30 days. While they also stated that we would be making money as we went. Within the first 24 hours of “training” we were then told the actual job description, which was not at all appointment setting, but calling other people from a call list to hire them on as appointment setters. It was all a complete lie. They also lied about an app they had us download, whop, stating it was used to report any sort of issues we had with the company. In reality, it was what they charged $6,000 to the credit card through. Also a lie. Within my first day of training we were instructed to call 50 people twice a day, send 50 emails, and 50 text messages, as well as participate in the daily posted team meetings and calls. I got wrapped up in this on May 5th, and the last video Cala that were posted were from the 2nd. They were not holding up to their side of the contract while also telling us that we had to hit our minimums and watch those videos on time. Once I pointed this out to several “coaches” the rules changed. Suddenly the videos were posted in the mornings, then they were supposedly actually posted later in the day, and then it changed to that the videos would be posted after 24 hours. After 24 hours of being lied to I filed a claim with Whop to attempt to get a refund, and then I filed a fraud claim with American Express. American Express secured a refund. The company willingly refunded the charge. However, then they started to threaten legal action and sending me to collections. In between all of this I was also getting harassed over text message, sent subliminal threats about how filing a dispute would “go downhill very quickly” for me. Everything was handled over text message and fake phone numbers. The supposed managers would argue and harass me via text and repeated calls, and then eventually their supposed legal team would be sending repeated emails. All employees involved only provided their first names and only signed a first name and last initial over email. They asked for no credentials or paperwork other than an address and credit score (to ensure they could open a card for that much money). The business has no physical mailing address. I have found dozens of other people who have gotten caught up in this scam via their slack channel and “lead list” of phone numbers. The company has operated under at least 3 different names over the last several years to avoid people catching on to their scheme, and we have been able to figure out several people involved. Yazan Younis, Connor Butler, Omar Reyneso, Jacob Hojara. I even have a call that was recorded from a conversation in which the story changed 5 times about them threatening to send me to collections. I have reported this to the ScamPulse.com once, the FTC, the FBI, and the Gainesville police as well.

I was recruited online for a remote appointment setter job by a company called Appointment Setting Co. They promised job placement after training and pressured me to pay $6,000, claiming it was just a temporary hold. In reality, they charged two of my credit cards, each for $6,000 — totaling $12,000.

I was told this was a legitimate job opportunity, but after paying, I received minimal service and no real job placement. I was pressured to sign a “dispute waiver” that blocked me from challenging the charges. The contract I signed was with Timeless Capital LLC, but I later discovered the business is legally registered as Valyou Media LLC in Florida, which has numerous complaints and an F rating from the BBB.

This company appears to be using multiple names to mislead job seekers and collect large upfront fees for services that are never truly delivered.
