We called this number and within a couple of hours a young man showed up, told us he needed to order parts, asked us to give him a check for $200, and said he would be back to finish the job in about a week. He said he would call us if there were any delays in getting the parts.
Long story short, he never got back to us. And when I repeatedly called the 323 454-2913 number, I was at first given the run-around that the manager would get back to me, but now they never take my calls voice-to-voice and send me directly to an answering machine.
Anyway, they immediately cashed the check for $200. I have now reported this to Bank of America, our bank.
Interestingly, after I reported them to BofA, I called them and left a message to let them know the bank's fraud division was now on the case. A legit business would have called me back right away in an effort to rebut my fraud charges against them and to resolve my dispute, but to date, they have not tried to do anything to clarify this situation which suggests the fraud concerns with this business are real.
I have a very clear photo of the "repairman" they sent should you decide to do any follow-on to this incident.
