Pop up on my computer screen while surfing the web. Agent called me. Agent representing in writing that he was a tech representative of Apple called me, sold me an Apple Care + protection plan for $300. When I called the phone number on the Proof of Coverage document there was no answer.

He required that I pay with Apple prepaid gift card. I paid another er $800 in Apple gift cards for supposedly for ram and repair -online analysis and anti-computer hacking etc downloads to computer. Within an hour of last transaction I called Apple to see if I could stop payment, but they determined that the gift cards had already been used.

This is a terrible scam. Rating -5; not +10. But, in my anxiety to get my computer fixed I stupidly got sucked in. In the end I could have bought a brand new MacBook Sir.

Agent sounded like a native East Indian (India -the country). When asked, he said he was in Arizona, but address on the protection plan was The address on this Apple Care protection plan certificate was . address:
