I was disconnected from Apple Support after having issues with my iphone. Attempted to call back and reached someone who claimed he was "Charles" with Apple. He began by asking for a lot of personal, sensitive financial information which I refused to give him. Eventually he requested an Apple Gift Card and said he "needed to be there when I purchased it." I went out and purchased a 50 dollar gift card for him by myself and he became upset with me because he wanted to be there when I bought it. I gave him the gift card information and was pretty much swindled out of 50 bucks. I am reporting it here now to warn others.

Type of a scam Tech Support

Man by the name of Eric Monti called from supposed Apple Support that I had 195 hackers found on my acct & to get rid of hackers I had to buy gift cards to track hackers to get my money back that I spent on gift cards. The got call from Eric supervisor named Christopher Bohn # 1-699-280-8648 & i had to get more gift cards & had to download Anydesk on cell phone where they got all my info. Then send money thru Zelle. This went on for 5 days then realized it was a scam. Made police report. Had to change all accounts! I feel like a real fool bc I know better.

Email said my Apple ID had been locked for security reasons and had to unlock it with in 24 hours. Then it took me to a website where I put all my personal information. It also asked for a credit card. That is when I realized it was a scam.
