Specifically Jorge Vega and Chrissy from the company. They have scammed me out of $2000. I am young lady in New York looking for an apartment. I’ve been viewing and touring a bunch of apartments and I came across an apartment on Rent hop.com. I got in contact with the Brokers Jorge Vega and Chrissy. Chrissy showed my apartment and I was interested in leasing. As my old apartment lease had alaready ended and I was immediately ready to move into a new apartment. I viewed the apartment on May 26th , w2024. They told me i could move in June 1st. They said it will 100% possible and I am good to move in. They required a security deposit and first months rent just as any apartment would require before move in and application process. I submitted my deposit of $900 , and my application with all my information needed to rent/apply for the apartment. As always they need proof of income , paystubs , full name , etc. I sent in my application with all the required Information and the deposit. The deposit automatically makes the room/apartment mine and takes it off the market. They said I was approved and said June 1st would be Move in. I was happy and was excited to move in. They then started texting me everyday after my approval requiring more and more information about me. Then June 1st comes around. They don’t let me pick up my keys.
