Reached out to the AKC registered breeder as mentioned in this website regarding a puppy for sell called Peper. They reached back out with answers to my questions making me feel very comfortable and confident that they were not scammer not to mention full blown pictures and videos of the puppy I was purchasing for my special needs son. Requested that payment be submitted via zelle in which is was and the were to send the tracking number of the dog was he was registered with the courier. They reached out once the payment was made that they would be registering the dog the next with the courier, in which in fact the next the day emailed with a tracking number from a courier company called Dawn wing. Dawn wing reach out requesting that we paid a refundable deposit of $995 for a special crate for puppy to be delivered as the temperatures could kill the puppy. The deposit was requested to Be paid in methods of gift cards prior to the puppy being placed on the flight. It was nearly impossible to reach out, as requesting for someone to call to discuss the couriers representative said all representatives were busy at the moment, I then reached out to the breeder who then informed me that it was due to the temperature changes to pay and they would reimburse. No further communication. This morning I was sent an email from the courier that the puppy was in forth worth Texas and international customs is requesting $1800 for a city permit which will be refundable and I had to pay if not I would be summons for pet abandonment. I then again reached out to the breeder asking for them to call me urgently due to this matter. As there was no response, I then called Forth Worth International Airport Customs Dept, explained the above situations and was then told if the puppy was coming from Virginia is would be domestic and no such a permit would be needed. He proceeded to explain the protocol and advised that I reach out to local authorities and report as I had most likely been scammed. I have tried to reach out multiple times via email, via phone, via text to both the courier and the breeds with no response especially as I mentioned there’s is no need for any additional payments for permits as it is a domestic flight and it seems as fraud and will be reporting it.

We had a similar situation just happen as well, we purchased Bella and once we paid on Zelle, we never heard back and we are supposed to go there May 8th to pick "Bella" up...so frustrating
