The ScamPulse.com has received information from a consumer stating he had won $750,000.00 from American Sweepstakes & Promotions. The letter included an agent name from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a security agreement and a Privacy Act Data sheet. It also has a Government Seal from The FTC. Most importantly, the documents have multiple misspelled words which are RED FLAGS in determining that a letter is not from a legitimate source. Please be aware of these scams and do not reply or contact the names and phone numbers listed on the letters.

I was contacted by a Mr. Theodore Stone saying that I won $525,000 in a sweepstakes. he wanted me to provide him with a check for $499 using moneygram and he would get Citibank to contact me. A person named Mr. Paulmer Thomas contacted me and said they had to have the money before I could get your winnings and he said they'd been trying to contact me for 9 months. I called Citibanks but they didn't have anyone that worked there by the name Paulmer Thomas.
