After multiple phone and email communications I decided to go with American Car Protect for a extended warranty for my truck in June of 2025. Everything appeared and seemed legitimate in the email and phone communications but when my service advisor at the dealer attempted to contact them to file a claim on 1/13/2026 the company no longer exists. The 800 number number is not valid and all my research at this point shows that the company is a scam.

American Car Protect is using the address at 615 West Johnson Ave., and on their contact us page, have taken the picture of the building that belongs to someone else. In addition, they are not at this address. I know they are not here because I have worked at this address for 30 years. I received a quote for a car warranty, and when I emailed them to ask if I can come to the office to pay in person, I never received a reply.
