I purchased a fake puppy online (see complaint on including free shipping. I received notification by email that the airline reservation had been made. Shortly after I received a second email stating that due to weather the puppy could not be shipped unless I paid a $1000 deposit on a special crate. The crate does not exist and airlines only require standard shipping crates. I refused to pay. When I asked where my puppy I was told he was in Pittsburg and would stay there until I paid the money.

I have copied the email because I am not sure it is attached correctly.

We wish to inform you that everything has been processed and a direct flight has been schedule to take off to your location today within the hour, it was however realized that due to current hazardous weather condition and your puppy is about 10 weeks old.

The Department in charged with Boarding and Transporting of Pets has rejected your pet from boarding flight as scheduled, reasons because of hazardous weather conditions that may be hazardous for young puppies. For this reason, a special Thermal Electronic Climate Controlled pet carrier crate is required for the shipping to proceed. This will help regulate the temperature and keep your pet on it normal state and stress free through the trip. If this fee is not covered within an hour, your puppy will have to miss the flight and more charges will be charged but if it's paid on time we shall confirm and ship your puppy as scheduled. We will not be able to ship the puppy without the Thermal Electronic crates.


The crate is free to use but we require a security deposit. Upon delivery, collect your puppy, return the crate and you will get an instant refund by check or your original payment method. In case you are unavailable or unwilling to return the crate, your deposit will be held until when the crate is returned to us.
