I posted a request on a website for a Caregiver as I needed to have surgery on the 28th for a knee replacement. I received a call on Tuesday morning after making the post on Sunday. She identified herself as Julie Basile from Amedisys Home Care, and she said that she saw my post online. I told her I was not able to afford home care but I thanked her for calling me back but she said that I don't have to pay anything and that it is covered by Medicare. I was relieved that she said that, She then said that she was going to the doctor's to get everything I need and have everything ready when i get home from the surgery. I was texting her at this point and thanked her as it lifted a weight off my shoulders. On Friday when I went to my doctor I learned that she never took care of any patients of my Doctor's and never will and she was a patient once many years ago. My Doctor had a home care group that they usually use and recommend for their patients that need home care. This Julie lied to me multiple times and I caught her and wanted to report it to the BBB so that other people will not get taken advantage of.
