I was connecting amazon prime to my smart t.v. and a phone number popped up saying I had to call Amazon to verify my acct...

I periodically get this type of email about orders I never made asking me to find the tracking number. The [email protected] is an email I seldom use.

I don't buy at amazon.com often so not sure how they even got this email address. Here is the email I received.

They are calling saying his name is mark or Steve they are from Amazon support & customer service. Asking for your email and than saying they have a Amazon security through setting that they can provide to protect.

Robo-message informing us of a 'suspicious' charge of $700 + on our Amazon account. We checked the Amazon account, and there was no charge of that amount. Picked up when they called again and they said they could look it up if we allowed them access to our laptop or smartphone. When we declined, they hung up.

I was contacted by a message from Amazon, that a package that I ordered was to be delivered today, but included in the message was an item that I did not ordered and if you have any question to call a number in the bottom. After calling this number I was told that the charge will be removed. Then they asked me if I have a zelle account and to access this account and to add a recipient they gave me

I just received a text message from a 914 area code , I did not open it to read the entire message however, the beginning of the message states

Amazon: name you came 1st in march’s Amazon... then I did not even hit the message to read the entire thing because I was afraid to open it but I’m sure there is a link on the end of the message for me. I’ve seen this before a lot and I either delete the message or block if they call. It’s very scary and sad that this is happening to so many people and some don’t have a lot of knowledge as to what they are opening resulting in them having their information being compromised. I still am scared to order on line purchases.

I was made aware of this scam by a friend and am reporting that I received a text message regarding an Amazon order I had just placed asking me to confirm a new shipping date. I did click and am reporting the number before I fix my phone. I have not noticed anything missing yet, but am reporting in case.

Repeated phone messages (as many as 7 in one hour) that just say "press 1 to connect to an Amazon customer care representative". Each phone number used by the caller starts with my area code (716) and the first three numbers of my phone number (675) but each call has different last 4 numbers.

Text message on phone!

I got a message on my phone saying there was a suspicious charge on my amazon accounts. This does not appear to be true and I read that this is a possible scam used to get personalbinformation

I received an email 10-24-2020. It stated I had purchased two watches, total price, $5600, on amazon.com

I called the number provided and told them I had not made this purchase. I also checked my amazon.com account and there was no such order. I had not been alerted by my debit card account that I had made this purchase.

They told me I had been hacked and I would need to purchase “ cards” from my local businesses to protect myself from hackers.

I told them I was not going to purchase any cards and I was reporting this incident to Washington DC to a federal agency.

They disconnected the call.

I RECEIVED A PHISHING LETTER VIA EMAIL ON AMAZON LETTERHEAD -- I received a phony letter on Amazon letterhead wanting me to upgrade my credit information if I wanted to receive my order or else my account would be suspended. I immediately recognized it as a phishing letter -- the url, misspelling of words, run-on sentences, no spaces after the periods, bad grammar, etc. The attached form asked for my SSN and credit card information. I did not respond because I recognized it as a phishing letter. Somebody is running a scam using the Amazon logo.

Payment information

There's a letter and form following. (Couldn't attach image, but can send under separate cover.)

The email looks legit but I do not have an Amazon account and their email address is @amazoon.online. The grammar is also not correct.

I keep getting emails from them saying thanks for your order and there using you as cover they are charging my account thousands of dollars please stop them.

Thank you

I have received this scam one than once. It’s said account info from amazon which I knew right away was a scam. Asked for my passport info, date of birth and SS#. I reported it to amazon. Then a second email arrives saying they did not receive my account info, then a third email arrives saying my amazon account has been closed

Recieved an email from what appears to be Amazon.com from email address [email protected] stating my account had been frozen and they are unable to validate my account information. They said once i logged in to the link provided in the email, I could validate my information and my account suspension would be lifted. The process does not take more than 3 minutes.

Amazon.com Inc. unveiled the first in a planned fleet of new cargo jets on Thursday, part of an effort by the e-commerce giant to expand its logistics operation.

The Boeing 767-300, emblazoned with “Prime Air” on its fuselage, is to be operated by Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. It is one of 40 that Amazon has agreed to lease as it broadens its system for shipping and delivering goods quickly to

supplement partners such as United Parcel Service Inc. and FedEx Corp.

The plane is part of a deal announced in May to lease 20 Boeing planes from Atlas Air, following a similar deal in March to lease as many as 20 jets from Air Transport Services Group.

The effort stems from a broad desire at Amazon to take greater control of its shipping and package delivery operations. In some cases, the firm is using its own trucks, drivers and a fleet of couriers for so-called last mile delivery, the final and

most-expensive leg of an order’s trip.

Amazon’s shipping costs have been rising more quickly than sales, and having its own cargo fleet could help stem the rise. The company said last month its second-quarter shipping expenses rose 44% to $3.36 billion, while sales rose 31%.
