I received 2 almost identical texts one day apart. One said I won 1st and the other 2nd prize, which was pods. They have my name wrong so I realized something was off. The texts said to click on a link, which I did not do.

Received a text msg stating I was 2nd runner up in Amazon pods raffle.

At 3:43 p.m. today, 3/22/21, I received a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Amazon. The phone number on my caller ID appeared to be a local area telephone number; i.e., 928-308-5718. The fact that he claimed to be from Amazon with that number made me suspicious. He stated that there appeared to be fraudulent activity on my account. That someone just charged $799 for an item on my account. He asked if I made that purchase; I said no. He then said the purchase was made in Dayton, Ohio, and asked if I know anyone there; I said no. He then said that their records indicate that I live in Arizona and asked if that was correct, I said yes. (After the call I remembered an alert stating you should never respond with a "yes" on a suspicious call because they record it an use it for fraudulent activity.) He said the transaction would be canceled and he wanted to transfer me to his security department. At that point I told him I needed to put him on hold. After doing so, the call immediately ended. I then received a text message at 3:54 p.m. from 25392 Mobile stating:

amazon.com/a/c/r?k=44689784270b4fea9d4650d080f3414f-7d8f

Amazon: Account data access attempt from AZ, US. Tap link to respond.

I did not. I then went to the Amazon website and changed my password and checked my credit card online and noted there was no charge for $799.

Received a text from 469-387-9649 the text said "Amazon: Congratulations CHARLES, you came in 1st in today's Amazon pods raffle! Click the link to: v8fzc.info/3bBUWPeqSm "

In the past I 've received numerous texts from different numbers always referring to me as CHARLES. I have blocked each one every time.

All of them were political related. I hope these folks get caught and fined millions!

Last Friday I received a text from 214.536.2758 saying I had come in 1st for that day's Amazon's pods raffle and it gave me a link to click.

Yesterday, I got a live phone call from a woman who said she was from Amazon. She said somebody had tried to make a purchase at a cell phone store in Dayon Ohio for $775. I said absolutely not. I said I would call my Chase account and make sure it's denied. She asked if I was close to a computer, and she would take care of it right now. She told me to go to my computer and download "mydesk". I said it's not hooking up. She said try it again and tell me what your screen looks like. She said go to the left hadn corner and click on it. I tried 3x, and it wouldn't work, and I hung up. I turned the computer off.

I get up to 10 a day.

I just received this random text message to my cell phone.

"Amazon: Congratulations Mayra, you came in 1st in today's Amazon pods raffle! Click the link to ..." screenshot included.

I didn't click the link, of course. Also my name isn't Mayra. I understand this is becoming a common phishing scam these days.
