I received a call saying my account had been Hack in somebody was trying to purchase an iPhone 11 pro for 1000 in my amazon account. I hurried up and look at my account on my phone it didn't say anything was wrong or anything was previously purchased when I mentioned this to this African accent fella he replied all know you shouldn't have done that you need to get on your laptop or computer right now, to fix it.. something didn't seem right, so I said well i'll just call customer service linked to my account and they hung up immediately. The phone call was approximately 4 minutes long. I tried to call the nut back and the recording said the number was not reachable .

It was a recorded message from Molly and she was checking on a purchase of $700+. Press 1 to speak with someone about the purchase. The guy said he was from Amazon and was checking on a purchase made in Dayton, Ohio made with my Amazon card. Wanted my information to make sure it was fraudulent. I wouldn't give him my information. I was called at 3:01pm, 3:28pm, 3:34pm and 3:51pm today from the same people.

On 6 Apr 21 I received an unanticipated phone call from someone purporting to be an Amazon employee. When I picked up my phone and said Hello, A male voice began by saying, “Hello, this is ? —- I am calling about a recent charge of $120!”

My immediate response was, “I have no knowledge of any such charge—-and suspecting fraud, hung up to end the call!

I reportt this merely to go on record by saying this occurred in Toledo, Ohio at this date and time!

I have received a couple of phone calls claiming that my Amazon account has been compromised to the an amount of $1,190.00. And that Amazon has froze my account because they think that fraud has been committed. I simple hung up and did not talk with anyone on the call. Later, I went to the Amazon chatline and chatted with an associate, who then checked my account. There had not been any large purchased on my account and my orders and account are in good order. The Amazon associate assured me that the phone call was fraud.

My husband also received a similar phone call earlier in the week.

Scammer (a name she couldn't understand) called several times and requested she go to Walmart while they were on the phone. When she got there, they told her to go to the electronics dept and buy 3-$200 gift cards. Then a woman got on the phone and she couldn't understand her either (both foreign accents). She didn't buy them nor give them her debit card # they requested. She told them she was going to call her husband, but she called the BBB.

On March 30, 2021 i received a voicemail from who they said to be Amazon. The message states I had a package ordered and it was ready for delivery, but if i didn't order the package and wanted a refund to call 347-391-3282 to get it taken care of. I haven't ordered anything in a month or so. I called the # worried that someone had stolen my identity. The phone call was fishy from the get go, a lot of loud people/noise in the background. The man asked me if i was in front of my laptop and said i would need that. Next he asked me to go to "www.anydesk.com" which threw up a red flag. Once i punched in the web address he asked me to look for the green download button and to hit download. This is when i was for sure it was a scam. "Anydesk" is a free software to give REMOTE access to your computer. I told him no thanks, he wasn't going to scam me n hung up. If I had followed thru downloading n following his instructions he would've had access to all my info. I hope this warning helps some else.

Received a call from 502-553-6767. It said that there was $778.00 in purchases to my account that was pending. That if I didn't make the purchase then press 1. I hung up. It was an automated call, that sounded like a fraud department calling to make sure that the purchase was genuine. I didn't make a purchase. The account didn't show any pending transactions.

I have gotten several of these already through texts and emails and every time the bonus credits are for different amounts and the links are always different. I have spoken to Amazon and they did not come from them. I also have more screen shots of a few more if needed. I would not click on any of the links whatsoever so I’m not sure what is in those links

But I can’t recall what it was dismissing it as a scam after I checked out the calls coming from the 371 exchange.
