Type of a scam Employment

I received a text saying I was invited for an interview with Altay Therapeutics for a Data Entry job. I had applied to so many jobs, I wasn't sure if I applied to this one. I checked out the link to the site they sent in the text. It looked official and legit. Googled and saw no scams or bad reviews. (Now you do). So the text asked to download the Telegram app to proceed with an interview. I did that. The initial contact was someone named Raquel Alexandria. They asked interviewing questions. Then hired on the spot. It all sounded too good to be true and I should've known better. The pay was $18/hr then $28/hr after 2 months. They would send funds to purchase office equipment which included the Macbook, Iphone 14 and other office supplies. Even though I knew this sounded too good, it just seemed legit. So the next day, I was introduced to the trainer named, Ronald Powell. He emailed me and asked me to send copies of my i.d., direct deposit info and a W-4 form and a background check form. Those forms made me think, okay, this is legit. So, low and behold, I still felt antsy about all of this. Today the guy asked me to answer three essays, essay type. Turn in by 4pm. I mentioned it to my Mother and she told me to check the BBB. Well, 1 comment came up and its telling my exact same story. Except they were smart enough not to take the bait. If you google now, you will see LinkdIn pop up with comments of people telling the same story. This is happening in real time. I'm reporting them in every way I can. Good thing is, I'm broke as heck and they can't steal when you're in the negative. I have no income coming in right now so they can't really steal anything but my name. And I'm taking all proper precautions now. YALL BEWARE.
