Wanted my porch screened in and it said servicing my town and surrounding area. They called immediately and verified info and transferred me. The 1st red flag was he asked me if I lived in the town then verified zip code. You would know your own zip code if company is based there. After he transferred me, the 2nd red flag popped up. A lady answered and 1 she had an Indian accent. If it is 2 brothers who started a company in my town (local business), why do they need out of country call system. Then she asked me what she can help me with, it threw me off because I just filled out a form! You should know. As she was talking, another number called titled porch… I knew then, this is not what is advertised. I told her I needed to hang up and call back later. Then another number called me right after! From what have read, they advertise whatever town you live in.

I searched Google for local kitchen cabinet painters and All Star Pros appeared on the list so I went the website. The company looked legit, it had a nice story about 2 brothers who started the business and several favorable customer reviews. So, I requested a quote from the website that would send an estimate to my email address. I included the project specs, my name, phone number and email address then submitted the request. Shortly after, I started getting phone calls from varies contractors. Angi's List started sending me texts and emails with lists of contractors. I checked the website again and there is no reference to Angi's List or business contact information: phone number, address, email, nothing. I searched Google for more information on All Star Pros, Yelp ratings, etc. and found nothing. Meanwhile, my phone has been ringing non stop for a week with 100's of calls. I blocked the phone numbers but they keep calling. I started to answer the calls and realized some are robo calls that call every 15 minutes. One person answered and told me "I am screwed", the calls won't stop and I will have to change my phone number. I contacted Anji's List twice, complained about the harassment and ordered them to remove me from their list. The calls haven't stopped. I answered another call and the person told it's not just Angi's List who has my contact information, they got it from another source. So, it appears to me All Star Pros in Mission Viego, CA is fake company used to scam people for their contact information that is then sold to marketing companies who provide leads for home improvement contractors. This is fraud and the fake company and website need to be shut down.

Looking for Fireplace maintenance in my area and was somewhat sceptical when this website popped up. There was no address and no phone number but it said they serviced my local area and mentioned the town adjacent to mine. They had a story about two people that started the company. i was leary about giving my information for the quote, especially when it said I need to consent to them sharing my information with partners in order to receive the quote. After I hit submit it immediately kicked back a "unfortunately we can't fill this request" and asked if i wanted any other maintenance performed.
