Received a text about employment followed by company assessments. Offer letter the following day. Seemed legit so far due to today’s technology use. Sent a check for $1250.00 digitally for mobile deposit but then requested Bitcoin be purchased to obtain a software license for remote data entry program. Check was returned 2 days later; same time I found confirmation of scam on here.

There were emails from supposedly 2 different people and from 2 different emails. One for the “hr assistant” and the other was the “accounts manager”

Reached out via text message likely got information from LinkedIn and then requested send resume via email. Conducted assessment and interview via email sent job offer next day. Requested to speak via telegram and wanted to send check via email. I figured they’d get bank account info so then looked into company and found the actual address and called HR they confirmed this is a scam.
