I was trying to sign up for healthcare. In my past I always had healthcare through my employer, so this is unfamiliar to me. I searched on Google healthcare.gov, and I thought that was the website I was on. I was on some sort of healthcare marketplace. When I called the number as instructed, they read me off my options and I signed up for a plan. The plan would cost me around $500 a month. I thought that was normal, and the sales associate assured me that was the cheapest option. Again, I am not familiar with the healthcare world and trusted what I was hearing. I received a card in the mail. I did not go to use the insurance until several months had past. When I called Duke they could not verify the insurance. It was at this time I realized it was a scam. I called the company to cancel and told them that they were fraudulent. I have recordings where they are denying this information, and also have recordings of Duke confirming they are fraud. I am hoping that I can get some of my money back from these criminals. Thank you
