“Yes this is Barbara with Vantage approval department my phone number is 866-676-1117 I'm just following up with a message I left you last week I'm not sure if you had a chance to speak with my agent regarding our vantage program um but I do see your preapproval for up to $51,000 so what I'll do is just keep us in pending status for you and when you have about 10 minutes today give me a call back we can go over the details as well as the benefits again my number 866-676-1117 so I do hope to hear from you soon and have a great day…”

I knew this was a scam! Got right online to complain. Period.

The call claimed I was approved for over $51,000. It tried to sound like a real person. Felt weird.

Received numerous voicemails from same ole Barbara with same ole message.. thanks everyone for reporting and sharing your experience. I was scammed last year n had identity stolen, been a real mess tryin to fix my credit, currently in the 500’s n new there was no way someone was going to give me 51K…Barbara just doesn’t give up.

Left a message stating I was approved for up to $51,000. As I've never asked for loan and have horrible credit I looked it up and saw over a hundred people have made same complaint.

I just got a vmail from "Barbara" at "Advantage Approval Department" saying that I have been approved for a $51,000 loan. As I have never had credit & cannot even get a credit card for people with no credit/bad credit, I find this hilarious. One would think she would be smart enough to use a different name, business & amount, so it would be more difficult for people like us to come together and call her out.

She won’t stop leaving me voicemails from different numbers and asking me to call back at one specific number. Has anyone gotten her to stop calling? 😭

Received a voicemail from 909-737-5346 (kelly smith) leaves a message that i'm pre-approved for a loan for $51,000.
When you call the number they left (877-664-0008) and get someone on the phone,
they ask if you owe more than $8,000.00 of debt.
I asked them for the name and address of the company and they hung up on me. called the number back, and got a different person on the phone that also hung up when I asked for the name and address. total scam! beware!

I keep getting called by Barbra the deceiver about the advantage loan pre approval. I called back and asked them to remove my number and they hung up on me. I kept calling back and would get a different [censored] on the phone. I called back so many times they blocked my number! I hope kicks me off their call list.
Scams are way up, I was scammed on a purchase, never delivered, and another company charged my account without permission. They need to shut these scammers down!

Exact same message as everyone else, word for word! Silly Barbara, I can’t get a loan for $20 let alone 51,000! Perhaps Barbara and Bria( the name my ssn pulls up, not my name btw) should get together on this 51,000 because I am the weakest link!

Doesn't matter if I'm sleeping, in class, or using the washroom- she's calling. I rarely pick up scam calls so I fear the one I accidently did had unleash the gates of which Barbara now enters with no remorse. I fear

Same exact message , she calls me almost every day. I finally decided to search and see what the deal was and here I am! Barbara also calls from many different phone numbers. all of which I block. That's the plus of having a new phone with a new #, my phone automatically silences unknown numbers and sends them to voicemail. Hopefully she'll eventually give up and move on, she can only leave the account/approval open for so long before it becomes even more obvious that it's a scam.

I also got the same exact call and message left from Barbara. I wonder if there is a way to report her? I'm Tampa Bay, FL. I got the 1-866 number though. It's funny how she says that she contacted me last week, but I've never heard of Advantage Approval Department untill today! So funny...you can just tell from the start that this is a scam. My credit is also very poor, and I'm living paycheck to paycheck. How in the world would I be approved for 51,0000 and be able to pay it back? Such a scam!

So I had a missed call, and as I have applied for a loan recently with another company I called them back. They answered the phone "YO!" so my red flag meter kicked in. I advised that I had a missed call, and was inquiring as to what it was in regards to. they clamed to be a lender with 'Advanced Financial" (which is a mortgage broker in my area that recently closed and not someone that I had sought financing through) so I began asking "how did you get my information" "What is the name that this company operates under" as well as "may I get your EIN so that I can verify legitimacy of the company" at that time the agent that I was speaking to disconnected the call. Def a scam.

I get multiple voicemails from different phone numbers with the same message from Barbara. The amount of numbers I’ve blocked is obscene. I get about 5-7 days of reprieve before new numbers claiming to be Barbara start leaving voicemails again.
