Type of a scam Investment

A Green card came in the mail stating Urgent with a claims Department and that you could invest and make money and get money to do energy efficient window and security doors. I paid $ 700.00 to join and then gave them $ 3,000.00 on a credit card. They said that there were other investors and that I would get 22% of peoples purchases thru Amazon and Visa and Mastercard. They said that they got me 16 merchants and that I didn't have to do anything and I would be getting Grant Money. I was to receive $ 8,000.00 for upgrades. These are the 3 different companies that gave me papers.

Are the 3 different Company Names that I was told would be what I invested in. That was a year ago and after the first 3 months of contact I didn't hear from them again. Every time I try to call no one answers.

I think when all they could get was $ 3,700.00 and not the $ 10,000.00 that they wanted me to give they gave up and moved on to the next victim.
