They attempted to take $approximately $7000 dollars. They contacted my so. To serve me. They told me to call a phone number and gave me a case number to reference. I cancelled the credit card that I gave, they tried to get me to sign a form emailed to me by Mike steinbeck

Caller stated they have been trying to contact me for some time. They had all my info including full social. It was a written off debt from Ford credit over 20 years ago. Email domain does not exist, is unclaimed. Address is the same as above but there is no Ainsworth and Associates there.when i asked them to send me info they very hurriedly got off the phone.

This is happening to me right now

I received a voice mail stating I owe such much monies for a very old credit card and that the case is going to court tomorrow, but they will accept a reduced payment today to resolve the issue. I looked up the law firm Ainsworth & Associates in Los Angelas but they have no digital footprint and the address doesn’t list them at that geo coord. They said they tried to serve me prior to this but I’ve lived in Japan for the last 10 years.

Another debt settlement demand

Scammer called me and wife about alleged debt from 15 years ago. Said they were going to sue me if I didn't pay $3924 immediately. They sent a Docusign "debt settlement" letter that requested my credit card information in plain text on below the signing line. They also included my social security # in plain text in the letterhead.
This debt is far outside the statute of limitations for collection and without documentation,.

Scammer called claiming they were attorneys but when I searched their business, names with the California Bar association couldn’t find them. Didn’t have a website either - they said they don’t have one because they are a private law firm but didn’t make sense. They said I was going to be served in court for a credit card from 2008 and they wanted to settle with me for $4535 right now in the phone but I couldn’t hang up. They were very pushy and rude.
