Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Says that they're persuing me on a matter and if I don't call 470-203-3335 with my case number I'll forfeit my chance to work with them.
I called the number and spoke to this guy who sounded like he was caught off guard. He said something about how I am still delinquent with my Jared Jewelry collection account. Said that the account was bought by multiple people and that one agency is persuing me.
I told em I paid it off already a few months ago and he just mumbled a bunch of talk and then said good luck in the court of law and hung up. There's no structure to their operation. Like why would they hang up? Aren't they trying to get payment from me or something?
So I called the actual collection agency who I payed my debt with and they confirmed that my Jared account is paid off and they'll be sending me a confirmation letter.
I gave these scammers another call and it seems like they've been caught red handed trying to scam me and they're not wanting to collect money from me or anything. It's like they're upset they got caught.
So I don't know what the purpose of calling them would be. They just tell me that I still owe a collection which I have already paid off.
Please be careful in dealing with these scammers.
