Email in my in box showed Ace hardware trade name and logo. Stated I qualified as a preferred customer for a free Stanley tool kit by filling out a survey. When I tapped take survey, I followed questions and was stated congratulations you win tool kit. Just send 5 dollars via credit card to receive tools. I send credit card info, immediately I received text from my bank that suspicious charge had been declined for 84.97, but 5 dollars had been cleared. The 5 dollars was listed under Digital G, 561-709-7412. I called them 11/11/22, the day after charge and they said 5 was for just entering the drawing to possibly win tools. The survey said you have just won tools by sending 5 dollars. I told man to refund money and cancel any further charge on my card. He said he could not, as he could only cancel acct but not refund as I had accepted drawing. It’s a fake add. He canceled my acct. I then called Select Digital G, the listing for the 84.97 that my bank had denied at 786-207-3796. The lady told me that by entering the tool drawing I had automatically signed up for this member fee. Which the bank told me Digital G will keep trying to run, niw that they have card number. I told her to close any acct they show and not charge my card any fees at all, as no one had informed me of any member fees. She says she closed acct, we’ll see? I also called my local Ace hardware, and talked to manager, Brad, whom I know well, and he said it’s a big nation wide scam that Ace corporate is trying to stop also. ScamPulse.com May want to look into stopping Dig G from robbing more innocent Americans! Thx Don
