Daniel came to my house to fix my dryer and said the motor was burned out. I found him on Thumbtack and Home Advisor and he had passed a background check and had good reviews. He had me pay for the part up front and said he would charge me for the labor when he came back to install the part. I kept messaging him and he kept saying the part was on back order. Never came back.

He's just a straight-up thief. Obviously, he doesn't even care about hiding it, which is unusual. He's laughing at us and the District Attorney, since he obviously could care less. Yeah, just a painful reminder to pay attention. So many clues to NOT write him the $297 check, but I got complacent since most people do what they say they are going to do. NOT Alvin Birotte. ACE Appliance Repair is a scam, and has been for years.
