if you check the number provided, it links to several identical websites all of which are pet related. they lie and say they are located in columbus ohio but when contacted they say they are somewhere in new york. they tried to get 150 out of my mom before i told her it’s most likely a scam.

So I "purchased" an abyssinian kitten from this cattery that had a TICA and CFA certificate (could be faked). https://abyssiniankitten.com/ - MIegon Abyssinian Cattery. The cat was supposed to be shipped today via air to me. I paid, the paypal strangely took a long time to clear and there was some verbiage about a "foreign" tax... Once it cleared they continued talking to me and provided shipping information. The "shipper" RNDPetLogistics.com emailed me with a lenghtly email but the thrust was that the airlines would not accept the cat carrier provided by the breeder (since it was a kitten) and hence i would need to rent one for $2,750, however 98% would be returned to me on delivery. At this point, I was very concerned and contacted cattery who said no this is normal. I said that they should pay it a shipping was included in my $850 I already paid them... As I have a relative that lives near Columbus OH (where they were located), I offered to have my aunt come pickup the cat and we would arrange our own shipping. At which point he said they would cancel the transaction and refund me. (obviously hasn't happened yet). After searching scams here, it sounds remarkably similar to another one reported back in May. Same Cat name, same story, also Columbus, OH.
