A recruiter text my cell phone and told me of a part time job that is remote work. Told me to download telegram and I would get $20 instantly from the receptionist. They sent it. Then explained this simpleton job to me. It was of taking screenshots of App Store page links. They had a separate robo chats going in telegram that I didn’t have access to send messages in. They then sprung on me that I need to send $50 through bitcoin via Cashapp and that I would get back an interest also I would need to do this is order to get the money for the day of simple work - $5 per task. I received the interest that day and the next day I did it for $100 and it felt awesome that I made over $200 out of thin air. Then they asked for $300 that next day - and I admittedly, foolishly sent it. But instead of getting it back - they said I would have to send $700 in order to get my money back. Saying it was the “2nd part of the order and I don’t have a choice” I then researched many things online to realize this is a scam. I realized all people in the chat were not real and only belong to that group chat. I realized all the inconsistencies of what they typed to me throughout those 3 days on Telegram and I confronted them. I had 2 contacts. One was the receptionist and the other a tutor- whatever that means. That tutor ended up laughing in my face, called me a clown and bragged about how they have my money and I’m not getting it back. The website they gave me was abcbybit.org. It’s as fake looking as it comes, I should’ve know better but please look into and shut down that website if you can so that others don’t fall trap to this scam.
