The Facebook group "Warrick & Vanderburgh Co. Things For Sale" has seen several posts by Austin Butcher as A&E Construction and A&E Fencing advertising 'Excavating and Landscaping', 'Home Improvement' and 'Privacy Fence Specials'. Unfortunately, we used Austin for some 'Excavating and Landscaping' work last week. Our experience has been that he does not commit to his price (after bidding the job, he said he had to have more money because after all, his bid was simply an estimate); he did not complete the job as agreed (he rocked our driveway without removing sod as agreed, did not bring in one load of additional dirt to fill holes left from pulling out shrubs and did not bring in all four loads of gravel for the driveway); when we addressed our concerns and asked for an agreed solution, he offered to re-do the driveway but we cannot get him to answer our calls or FB messages. We paid him a lot of money to do a job and the job he did was marginal at best. We feel that we have been a victim of fraud and we want anyone else who may be dealing with this guy, to be EXTREMELY cautious as he has taken our money and ran. He has not stepped up to resolve our concerns and that is no way to conduct business. We shouldn't have paid him. Our experience has been that he represented himself to be a contractor and promised we would be very satisfied with the work as he went the extra mile...this was not the case and we feel that he misrepresented what he promised and agreed to do.
