I was a bit confused because I thought it was a emissions inspection report but the more I looked at it the more it was weird because they didn’t even include anyone’s first name and they were missing a letter and one of my last names. It just looks overall suspicious, but it looks real.

I received a postcard in the mail telling me that my car that I just bought was not under warranty. I called the number on the postcard thinking that it was from my dealership. It was not then they had my car information and then they have my phone number then they were telling me that I did not accept this at the dealership which I received gap coverage on my car. They told me that I needed to pay $2800 upfront or to pay 215 Monthly. I said I’m gonna have to call you back on this and the guy got angry and said it wouldn’t work that way I still hung up anyways I did not give him any credit card information or any of that. Hopefully nothing has been added. That shouldn’t be there.

Received yellow single sheet of paper and envelope with no business marked on it. It has the make and model of a car recently purchased. It says immediate response to this notice requested. It has my first and last name on it and says that I have not contacted them and that I am receiving this notice to ensure no laps and warranty coverage. It says you may have been selected to receive the special limited time offer from warranty services - vehicle division because of information in your public record consumer Auto data file. This is an advertisement to obtain coverage.

Received notice on yellow paper advising that I had not contacted them about the vehicle contract for my car. They [the scammer business] was reaching out to me to ensure I did not have a lapse in warranty coverage. It advised I needed to call them to update my coverage, even though I have never done business with this "company." Provided info advising to call 888-479-7648 Monday - Friday 8:00am - 7pm CST, although the company is located in the eastern time zone. The "business" did not even have the full time as it appeared in the am (i.e., 8:00).
