The organization sent an official looking letter creating the impression it came from the home lender (Navigant Credit Union). It makes statements that appear to indicate recipient may be losing coverage, for example

1. "Its important you contact our office at 1-888-404-4504 upon receiving this notice to avoid any unnecessary delays in your coverage". (This is a false and misleading statement as there is no coverage)

2. "Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs". (This is likewise a confusing and misleading statement clearly intended to alarm the recipient and increase the likelihood that they will call the number.

I called the organization and spoke with a representative. This marketing practice should be illegal as it preys on the elderly and those who may not understand the letter.
