Very tenacious scammers. They call from fake local numbers then in the message say to call 888-247-7390 or 888-838-0902. The claim is that there is a credit card that has defaulted and ready to go to court within the next 24 hours if the amount is not paid. They said they would reduce the amount owed as a settlement. I thought to look at my credit report (freeze them!) and could find no credit card in default. They're very good at what they do, and have accents that sound like they are native American English speakers.

Called on number registered in my name and my daughter's name. Claimed to be a court processor and proceeded to say they need to talk to me about a pending law suit. Called from 504-420-8625 and identified herself as Karina, from the processor's office. Didn't say which processor's office. She left 888-247-7390 as the number for me to call back on.
