I received a phone call with the caller ID as Citi Bank. They said they were from the fraud department. They said someone was using my credit card to book a hotel and they were suspicious so they denied it. I thanked them. Then they told me the correct information about my account. Including the number to my bank account used in autopay. They knew my balance and recent transactions. EVERYTHING! They asked if I had received texts sent from them. I said no, they said my phone must have been hacked. They proceeded to send me texts that I never received except finally one went through. Then they said to catch these people they needed me to approve a transaction so they could catch the scammers. Stupid me said yes. I approved a travel tour. Then It was declined, and Citi sent me a text asking did I authorized it. I said yes because the fraud department said to catch them. As I write this I realize how bad they were and I should have hung up a million times earlier. The final straw was asking me my mother's maiden name. I hung up, called the real Citibank, and was told no they never contacted me. I went and locked all my credit cards, changed all my passwords, and contacted the bank. We changed my account numbers. I have had trouble getting into a few of my other apps on my phone and I wouldn't be surprised if they were related. The scammers asked me to call **21*929-699-0757. Then I would receive a code. I did and it was call forwarding so I didn't do it. They were trying to get all my phone calls!
