The offending business is participating in a common, accepted but unacceptable business practice. They are advertising the sale of one ounce of marijuana to be $150. That is what they advertise on their kiosk, on their website, in store, in person. Every time I get to this store I order an ounce or two of weed, expecting to pay $150. Every time they say: "Well we are out of the $150 packages, so we will sell your ounce into two packages that are a half ounce each and charge you $100 for each half ounce - $200 for the ounce. This is textbook bait and switch. They are marketing a product that is obviously mostly unavailable in order to drive traffic to their store, and then as soon as the customer gets there, they rip the customer off. This is especially concerning because the product that they sell is both medicine and an addictive drug, so people either need it or want it really badly, so they're more willing to tolerate being ambushed at the register. Proper cannabis MUST honor their listed price per ounce, and will not attempt to charge $50 extra just for cutting up my brick into two bags. I will get a lawyer. This is text book bait and switch. I already complained to the ftc.
