On the morning of October 27, 2026, I received a text message from (802) 309-1907 that claimed to be from the Apple Security Team. It said an Apple Pay transaction of 405.89 USD had been made and told me to call +1 (888) 685-2650 if I did not authorize it. The message used a generic greeting, had awkward wording, and listed the same phone number twice as Apple support. I did not call the number, click anything, reply, or share any information. No charge appeared on my accounts and I lost no money. I believe this is a callback phishing scam meant to get me on the phone with a fake Apple agent. I am reporting it so the numbers can be tracked and blocked.
