I reached out via Zillow about an apartment listing. They emailed me back immediately and asked I submit a form and schedule a showing. The form was through what appeared to be a secure leasing application, but it collected details like SSN. They then never followed up to schedule a meet or actually show the unit. They also have multiple postings up in the San Francisco Bay Area to try and capture details and financial deposits from people looking for rentals.
