I was approached via text message from (304) 356-9135 offering a work from home job. They sent me a cashier’s check to deposit into my bank account to “cover equipment and needed work materials”. They even went as far as having me fill out an online form for onboarding and sent an offer letter. Once I get to the bank to verify the check it came back as fraud. They were persistent in rushing me to get the money cleared by my bank and when I let them know the check was fraudulent they proceeded to act like I did something wrong. Note my account is flagged and any deposit made in check form has to be on a 7 day hold!!!! Beware of job offers with no in person or zoom call interview!!!
