I am looking for a rental property and this property was listed on FB marketplace with a phone number to text. I texted indicating I would like to see the property. They responded saying a refundable rental application fee of $75 was required to see the property. I completed the google form and paid $75 via Venmo. They then said half of the security deposit was required to hold the property. I said I would like to see the property before moving forward. They are now saying I will not be able to view the property and I will not receive a refund of the application fee.
