They were listing houses for rent and we are looking to move into a new place. They asked for a $150 deposit through Apple Pay or Zelle. ( first red flag) this deposit was to secure the appointment. It was refundable after the visit. Then the “attorney “ contacted me asking me to send another $491 for the paperwork we were going to receive when we got there. I said no too much you are asking for and I requested my deposit back and then I was ghosted.
