The scam occurred through an Instagram advertisement that appeared to be from Carter’s and looked like the official website. After clicking the ad, I was taken to a site that had Carter’s branding and seemed legitimate. I added items to my cart and completed the purchase, spending $38.15 on the website zwablu.com.

However, after receiving the confirmation email, I realized it was a scam. The email did not include a valid order number, and the website name listed was different from the official Carter’s website. This indicated that the site was fake and not actually affiliated with the real brand.

This experience shows the importance of verifying website URLs and confirmation details before making a purchase, especially when coming from social media ads.
