Full Name, Full Home Address, Bank Name, Bank Account Number, Do you have access to more banks in your name, and Alternative Email was requested. I have never used e-checks before so I thought nothing of it. I got an email from [email protected] with a check for $962 that my bank originally said was deposited. When I told him that, he then asked if I have access to cash app, Zelle, Paypal, or Apple Pay because I would need it for my work. Once I had confirmed I did, I was asked to "remit the payment of $500" to Terin Shedd at [email protected], which my bank flagged as a potential scam. When I pointed this out, he claimed that was not the case and sent me a copy of his ID. He has not responded to my texts since I told him my account was frozen until the check cleared.

An email was sent to my school email as a potential work opportunity. He offered the job as a virtual assistant. So, I clicked apply. I was thinking it was legit coming from a school's correspondence. Then I get a text asking if I was interested in the position. He stated his name as Dr. Miguel Moller. He asked me to do an interview and answer a few questions via text. I did so, then he offered me the position and to fill out forms. He then, sent me form to request my bank information for the initial job payment. I texted him back to confirm his identity, because I didn't want to be scam. He ensured me that it was legit, but I knew better. After checking the ScamPulse.com site, another person had the exact scenario. So I didn't proceed and blocked his number. Please be careful with this scam.
