Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Yeahhh he responds too quickly and when I didn’t reply within 5 minutes he called me and it was some Indian dude. I’ve seen scams like this before where they send you a money order and have you deposit it into your account. Your bank will give you a small amount of the funds and then they’ll ask you to Venmo them money for whatever cause or do something with your own money. Your bank will then decline the check and if you don’t have funds you’ll literally go negative. Don’t trust it at all. Weird that he stopped responding after I called him out for scamming and having several reports on here.

Once payment is received, proceed to your bank and have it DEPOSITED. The funds will be made available within 24 - 48 hours by your bank and email back as soon as you complete the deposit so that you can be fed with more details. I also want you to send me a copy of the deposit receipt to my email for my record/confirmation. This person somehow phished my info from ZipRecruiter. Using the Phone # 914-454-4126 and an email address of [email protected]. I did apply for a personal assistant job but not for an "art gallery" nor part time. I found his text and emails odd but played along. He text me this morning saying my first "assignment would be mailed to my home. Total scam! I called him on it, no reply.
