I was contacted via email about a data entry clerk position with XableCath. I was asked to send an updated copy of my resume, then I was asked to complete an assessment. Within a day, I was offered the position through an expedited process, and an offer letter was sent that appeared to be legitimate. I then accepted the offer, but what raises concerns for me is a check that was emailed for a software subscription that didn't seem real.

Was contacted via email regarding a position as a Data Entry Clerk - Remote position. They requested to see my resume, then proceeded to ask me to take work assessment tests to verify work quality. After a day, they told me they expedited the process without an interview and offered me the position. They later told me I needed to buy some software and are sending me a check via email to deposit.
