i clicked on a recipe link which infected my computer . This link froze my computer and would not let me. A pop up which claimed to to microsoft with an 800 number appeared to call to get computer fixed. When I called it turned out to be Wish Solutions. In order to unlock my computer Wish solutions charged me $279.00 to fix my computer . They are a scam . Please help recover my money and put them out of business.

I fell for this scam as well. Very upset! Is anyone still receiving phone calls from them daily, multiple times a day, stating that they haven’t gotten there money and that legal action is going to be taken? I had my account froze for sometime and never payed them. Phone calls are coming in from many different numbers all over the US. Just want this to end!

The calls have started for me as well. I have caller ID and have turned off the answering machine. If I do not recognize the number I don't answer it.

Had a pop up warning and was very loud and froze everything up. I called the number 518-303-8855. Peter came on and said he could fix the problem but had to get he's tech on line. the tech Steven came on and said it wasn't my computer was the internet. I wanted the sound to quit so I told them to go ahead and fix it. They said it would be $200 for the Tech to fix it but that I needed a new IP address They gave me a new number and down loaded the bad sites that was on my computer. The tech's number is from Texas 1-888-409-0279. Now they have my information. Can anyone tell me how to delate everything? I FEEL LIKE A FOOL! Really believed them. I have deleted the payment of $1000.00 to have them take care of my security. I am cancelling the $200 check. Can anyone help me. [email protected]

Same experience as all the above...but a total scam. Thought my computer was locked up and Microsoft was a legit number...the longer I talked with them the "fishier" it got. Then it was mail the check...as I questioned why Wish Solutions in MD when Sonic Firewall was in NY. Then when I checked the mailing address and it was a residential address in MD I hung up...quickly turned off the computer and then turned it back on and uninstalled Ultraviewer which had given them control of my computer.
Beware...I likewise had clicked on delish.com for a recipe when all this started. Hope someone will take them down soon. They have surely scammed enough people. Yes, all foreign accents with American names.

Thank you for your story. Mine, which happened on Feb. 7, is the exact same one. I've uninstalled Ultraviewer--thanks for that tip.

same as above then got call they were going to deduct another $300 called them they claimed they made an error and were going credit me 500 and give protection for life free made it look like I put down 5000 instead of 500 and they wired me 5000 to my checking acct wanted me to wire or submit payment for 4500 did not do it and removed all with their name Sup Remo as they tried to call me back called bank to have 250 dollar check stopped pmt

This is a follow up to the complaint I flied previously. I learned much more about computers than I even wanted to know. When Microsoft 10 in installed on a computer, remote computer access is automatic. Once you find it you can disable this (recommended). I was duped into thinking I needed what they were selling. I took my laptop to a computer repair store and asked them to look at it. They found things they had never seen before. They suspected some of the installed software contained Malware and Spyware. We thought it would be best to remove and reinstall the operating system and software. I am very glad that I did not have any financial information on this computer. I have not paid Wish Solutions and do not intend to.
A word of advice: NEVER LET ANYONE HAVE REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER. Lesson learned, from what it cost me to have the work done I should have bought another computer.

I contacted this company when a message showed up saying my computer was being hacked and they wanted 2000.00 I did not sent them money after trying to look them on line and discovered it was a scam. They need to be stopped for now I can not access my WiFi and my provider indicates that there nothing wrong with it. And there is nothing wrong with my computer according to my computer provider

Same as above. I was instructed not to turn off the computer and call them For $1925 they would fix it and guarantee it for life. Silly me I fell for it. I thought it was strange that there number came up to fix it. Having second thoughts I tried to cancel. The person on the other end of the phone told me it would mean "big trouble" for me if I did. They prey on people who are vulnerable. Long story short, they do have a copy of the check but not the paper check. I stopped payment at the bank. I wish I had access to a computer before this all started. Like one of the other comments I wonder what they will do when they don"t get paid. Will be checking with my Attorney.

i am also having the same exact issues as everyone else. the guy said his name was emma johnson ex 1023 but he had some type of ARAB accent He tried to get me to send over 300 dollar check to him at 11405 veirs mill silver spring md 20902 i also googled this address WHILE we were on the phone it is someone HOME which is very suspect to me. once i saw that i turned my computer off asap when i logged back in all of my documents were GONE. Which left me very upset i wonder who can i contact to handle these terrible scammers who are stealing money, I knew something was up from the way he was talking to me on the phone very unprofessional,

Yes the same experience. So upset by it. Does anyone have the number for Microsoft?

Basically the same experiences as those listed by the other victims. After searching through recipes, I left my computer for the night. When I signed on the next day, the blackout, the noise and the message from 'Microsoft' and my computer wouldn't function. I called the number (1-855-941-2777) and listened to an lengthily explanation concerning the Trojan horse that was supposed to be there. It was a 'pitch' and I fell for it and let them enter my computer and remove it. Then the technician, Michael #2016, sent me to the Web Security Expert, Brandon Hicks who tried to sell me a protection package he called a firewall for over $900.00. I explained that I was not interested in a firewall. After that I was immediately transferred back to Michael, who directed me to write a check for $318.00 for the work that they had done to eliminate the Trojan Horse. I did write the check, but did not sign nor date it, and I covered up the bank information at the bottom of it. He took a picture of the check. At this point I became very suspicious and that is why I covered up the banking information. The address that the check was to be sent to is: Wish Solutions, 1140 Veirs Rd., Silver Springs, MD 20902. Now, at this point I need to locate the Microsoft Corporation Cybercrime Division and hopefully that they can remove all of the information that these criminals placed in my computer right now.

have you had luck contacting Microsoft? It seems to me that it would be to their advantage to look into this and stop it.

Same issue looking up recipes, clicked on Delish.com. The computer completely locked down, the number 1-844-300-5336 for Microsoft Support came up and all sorts of loud warnings started broacasting. It was Wish Solutions when I dialed the number, which doesn't make sense because their Tech Help # is 1-855-941-0777. He said his name was Nick Tyler and insisted they are contracted for Microsoft support. He said it was a cyber security issue, and 28 other individuals had access to my computer through hacking the IP address to obtain bank and credit card numbers. It was $250 to fix the "viruses" and get my computer to run again, and $299 for a Firewall. Well, soon after my own Virus Protector McAfee started removing some of what they installed saying it was all virus threats. I went online and found all these other complaints about them, they are still using 11405 veirs mill rd Silver Springs, MD as the payment address. Nick was the initial guy and then he passed it to Brandon Hicks Web Security. It then went to a "Tech" named Shawn Smith who called me back from an Ohio #740-714-5857. And a feedback call was placed to me the next day from a West Virginia #304-320-0913. (All of these individuals were of Foreign decent, by their accents, no matter what American known names they were using).
I spent 2 hours at the bank this morning stopping the payment they were suppose to receive 12/4 and changing my bank account numbers. Very frustrating. I can't seem to find a legit microsoft number to call, too many pop up, and virtual chat with my HP support was useless.

Nov. 24, 2020 I was printing online recipes, then my computer was lock down stating viruses, call "MICROSOFT at their phone number. I couldn't even shut down my system. It as frozen. I end up calling the phone number thinking it was Microsoft. . The senior tech gave me 3 different prices to clean my computer. BTW: They may have changed their name to "WISH SOLUTIONS" and they were all East Indian people. The three pricing for repairs are 2 yrs. is $499.99 + $300 + state tax; 5 yrs is $799.99 + $200.00 + state tax; and lifetime onetime fee is $1,399.99 + $100.00 + state tax. I asked if they accept credit cards, they said "no" because they don't have an office that process credit card payments nor personal checks.. I found that very odd. Their office is at Silver Spring, Maryland, yet they said they are in Albany, NY. Still found it fishy. Long story short, my bank paid them electronically the same day, after stating it will be paid until December 2, 2020. I have an alert email from my bank regarding large amount was transfer out. Right away, I called my bank and request fraud and cancellation of the electronic payment. I explained to the bank that this vendor is a scammer. Right away the bank took care of it that same night. I called the bank the next day and the bank told me they cancelled the electronic payment.

Around October 4 2020 (Sunday evening) I noticed my computer had a warning saying DO NOT SHUT DOWN YOUR COMPUTER. I needed to call the number on the screen asap. It had a Microsoft emblem on the screen and I was to call 1-855-941-0777, which I thought was Microsoft. They guy that answered the phone said I had a virus and that they could take care of it for around $750 for a year and for lifetime safety of my computer, it would be $3599.99. Not just my computer but any computer software I had for a life time. They provided me with a Support ID# that I was to use if there were any issues in the future. So I allowed this guy to log into my computer. I logged into my online bank and he added his company US Telis to my bill pay. So my banked send a check on 10/9/2020. Foolish of me, but I was vulnerable and dumb. They received the check but it did not go through for some reason. They called me and asked me to send them a personal check. I asked if I could put it on my Visa credit card. A lady name Mary William said they could not do it that day. I felt like something was suspicious at that point. so she said she will email me the info as to who I'm to mail the check to. The email went straight to my spam and when I looked at whom the check should be sent to, it was another name. Not US Telis but Wish Solutions. That's when I started searching online and found out that this could be a scam. I immediately took my desktop to the computer store (where I purchased it) and they said it is probably a scam and they cleaned up my computer. I then changed all my passwords because these people had access to my computer and installed their own spyware. I'm still getting calls about payment. Today, which is Thanksgiving, this Mary William lady says unless they get a payment from me they will turn it over to their legal dept. Do they have a legal case at all. When they refused a cc payment and the check my bank send could not be cashed, how could I not be suspicious. I'm not speaking with them and don't plan to send them any money.

My computer notified me as if they were Microsoft that I had been hacked and my computer was locked and not to turn my computer off to call the number in the bottom right hand corner of my screen. This was repeated several times. So I did. They told me to turn the computer off and turn it back on and not to touch anything. Once I did that he installed the program to get on my computer with me and showed me all kinds of logins and said that I had 15 hackers that had been on my computer. He told me they would fix the problems and restore my computer back to where it should be for $250 and for another $500 they would protect it for life. I told him have the Norton Antivirus. He told me my computer was not protected. I told him I didn't have that kind of money my husband and I are retired and on a fixed income. I told him I could put it on a credit card but he said no it has to be a check or electronic transfer. So while he was on my computer he asked me to log onto my bank and he added his company to my bill pay and put in $750. and told me to pick a date when I could pay. I cued it to pay on Dec 2nd. They even called me yesterday to make sure everything was working ok. They asked me for a password and told me if anyone else calls asking for money be sure to ask them for the password. If they don't know it...hang up. After reading other stories I have canceled my payment of $750 on Dec. 2nd. I would like to have the number to Microsoft so that I can make sure this does not happen again. My Norton Antivirus ends Jan 5th. How did they get on my computer?

I had the same experience. They took over my computer and charged me 500.00 dollars that they had me go in my bank account and do an online check. My bank recognized it and asked if I made the transaction. I told them what happened and they thought it to be a scam so we cancelled the payment. When they called me back the number came up as potential spam. My computer is back up and running but I don't no what's going to happen when they don't receive the payment

I canceled my payment too. Just wondering what will happen when they don't recieve payment!

I need to extend a heartfelt thankyou to those that shared their experiences with Wish 4 Solutions, or in my case U.S. Telis. I had the same experience described in prior entries. Thankfully my check was issued as instructed to U.S. Telis and then I was told it didn't arrive. The next message was to notify me to reissue the check to Wish 4 Solutions. The organization changed their address 3 times in 6 months. Everyone you spoke with had the last name of Williams. I worked with Microsoft and had the computer cleaned up.

I opened my computer and a warning popped up and a voice -as saying Do Not Shut Down Your Computer, Do Not Try To BACKOUT. I needed to call the number on the screen asap or I was going to lose everything on my computer. Even had the Microsoft emblem on the screen but the number I was to call was 1-855-941-0777. They had me believing that my computer was hacked and they could check it with no charge since they were part of Microsoft. Then told me it would $250.00 to fix it.
They even showed me the file where the supposedly hackers used and said the hackers had access to all my identity including passwords, credit card, banks and my social security number. Then they said they can protect the computer from hackers, viruses, malware etc. and showed me 3 levels of protection from $900.00 and up. I told them there was no way I could afford this. They ended up giving me a discounted price of $400.00 which included the $250 to fit the computer (discounted price for seniors). I needed to make a check out to," Wish Solutions 11405 Viers Mill Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20902." They even took a picture of the check and said I need to bring it tomorrow to the post office and use expedited mail with a tracking number. After reading about this scam I called my bank and told them to stop payment on the check. Also called Microsoft and spoke with a Microsoft representative. He connected me to a MicroSoft Technician who went over my computer and removed anything that this company put on my computer. He made sure the computer was running properly. He also said MicroSoft would never call or send out a warning like this company did. The only way MicroSoft would interface with you is if you first connected with them and asked for assistance. I never sent a check but closed my accounts since this company had a picture of my check with the account number. Boy will I be a lot more diligent in falling for scams.

Do you have the number to Microsoft. I would like to call them also to make sure this never happens to me again. Thanks so much for sharing what happened to you, as it happened to me yesterday. Thank goodness I read this and stopped my electronic transfer.

Identical experience. My computer was "locked," and I was told NOT to shut down the computer but to call a number. I called, and I was told I had multiple viruses. For $290 they would clean up the computer (would take 40-50 minutes). Then it was explained by yet another person (although sounded the same to me) who explained about various protection programs for 3 and 5 years and lifetime for $1200-1500. Insisted I write a check for $2,000 to Wish Solutions, which I then scanned, and gave me instructions to mail check to address 11405Veirs Mills Road in Silver Spring Maryland 20902. btw, the "rep" had asked how old I am (70). Now with the check they want a tracking number from the post office. I guess I will go to the bank to stop payment on the check and NOT answer the phone at 3 p.m., when I agreed to be here.
