I found an apartment listing on Zumper.com for an apartment that does exist, which I made sure of. The scammer from WHLC Properties told me that there was a resident there and I should pay the deposit which was refundable. There continued to be issues where they required more payments, totaling $7100, to secure the unit which is when I caught on.
