I received a text message stating I needed to call a number regarding a case. They sent a case number in the text message. When I called the number they told me they are a debt collector from a payday loan company I have never gotten a loan from. The man I spoke to named Alex told me my full social security number and my current address. Threatening to take me to court and garnish my checks for the next 10 years.

They sent me text messages with a case # and a phone number to call. They brought up an address that I lived at over 15 years ago. Definitely sounded like a scam.

They said I took out a loan which I didn't in 2017 and I'm being sued. They said I worked for a lawyers office and I never did. And they had the last 4 digits of my social and my new address.
