I received this text message saying I had a chance to win $1000 from Walmart. I do grocery pickup from Walmart and if you do a survey from your Walmart store you have a chance to win a $1000 gift card. This is why I went ahead and started to do it. I had to spin to see what I won. It came up spin again. This time it lands on $1000 Walmart gift card. Then a timer starts counting down from 5:00 minutes to click and claim your gift card. I didn’t feel right so I closed it. Later I tried again and it did exactly the same thing clear down to the timer starting at 5:00 minutes again. No way I would land on free spin and then the gift card again plus getting a second chance with the 5:00 minutes. I knew if I went on to next step it would ask for personal information. I checked Walmart’s website and it said they never contact winners by text! I just realized it says: Congrats LUNDY! I should’ve known I am not LUNDY or even know a LUNDY!

I received a call stating the caller was from WalMart Capital One Card Services. When asked if this caller was from WalMart or from Capital One, they said it was all the same and asked for personal information to "pull up my account" The only information I gave was the spelling of my name and my zip code. They repeatedly asked for the last 4 numbers of my SS # ~ I then hung up and called the Customer Service # on my Capital One card and they checked my information and said it had not been comprimised at this time. I do shop at WalMart, but I do not have a WalMart credit card. Thank you for your help.

I received a messenger on facebook message from a friend of mine that he won a walmart gift card and shared the information to me. When I clicked the link the linked asked me for my full name, address, email and then started asking me personal questions such as bank information. I stopped the process but I wasnt sure if it was a scam or not.

They called me saying a win a $100.00 visa card to spend in walmart, bet buy, target and other stores.

"As appreciation" they asked me for my address, and then they asked me for my debit/credit card information visa or martecard to pay a $2.50 shipping fee, But when I told them i have not a visa or mastercard they hung up on me.

of course i gave a fake address to see how far this offer/promo goes, and of course i have a visa card but when i told then i haven't they quickly end the call.

I received an e-mail saying "would you like to be a secret shopper at Wal-Mart?" I clicked on it put in my information. A week or so went by, I received a letter in the mail with a check an instruction on what to do. Before I did anything my daughter looked it up and found out it was a scam.

The actual WalMart gift card phone number I was to call is 1-888***. The number I accidentally called was 1-888-573-5503. This wrong number directed me to an automated voice service sounding much like Walmart's automated voice service. The automated service asked if I, the caller, was 50 years of age or older, after selecting no, the system then went on to say that there is a special $100 shopping certificate (redeemable at many shopping centers like WalMart and Target they said) that I can get by paying a small $1.95 processing fee via credit card. I was curious, knowing that this was strange and selected yes. I was then transferred to a live person where they said they were happy to assist me obtain my $100 shopping certificate. I then hung up immediately and dialled the number again from the card just to get a new automated system menu (this time I dialed the real number).
