"Walmart Order Verification" called me and tried to see if I had made a purchase for $919.45 for a Playstation 5 and a head set. I said I did not make that purchase and then they "checked" the activity on my Walmart account and they asked me if I had traveled the New Jersey or California. I told them that I had traveled to California. They then asked me to verify by yes or no answers if I had any bank accounts. They listed a bunch of financial institutions. I said yes to 3 financial institutions I have done business with in the past. He did not ask for any personal account #s. He then "transferred" me to the "federal trade commission" and told me I was supposed to give the agent his name, a case # and his employee ID. Once I told him that the accounts he listed were joint accounts he hung up on me. I never gave him any personal information outside of what he already had (my address).
