Door knocker claimed house repairs were needed to seal cracks in the foundation, totaling $3,000. Required a check for $2,000 to start the work. Came back 2 days later requesting the additional $1,000 to buy the materials to finish the job because they deposited the original check in the wrong account. Told us we could cancel the first check (although we confirmed with our bank that the funds had already been withdrawn and the check had been cashed). Believe they are working without a business license (since none was provided or listed on their truck) and upon driving to their business address found it belongs to a Spiritual Advisory and not a roofing or construction establishment.
