I booked a hotel room via a google search that led me to a 3rd party site (vio.com) .I booked under my first and last name and paid with a credit card. When I arrived at the hotel several hours later to check in, the gentleman behind the desk informed me that a man name Michael with a British accent had called 10-12 times trying to confirm if I had paid ahead of time or was paying once I arrived. He claimed I was his client and that he was calling on my behalf. I do not know a man named Michael with a British accent nor am I his client. I immediately locked my CC and called the non-emergency line of the police department to file a report.
