I called a software company for support. The customer service reps kept pushing a free promotional gift. I kept asking for the VHI reps, or direct line. I was told, after I participate in the promotional "scam", I would be connected or given the new number. I said I didn't want the promotion, and just please connect me to a rep that can help me. They wouldn't. I called 5 times and went through the same thing each time. With various reps. The last rep said "if you think its a scam, you know what to do". I replied, yes I'll report to the BBB. They highjacked a number from a business that may have closed down, and are telling customers they have to go through this promotional thing before able to be connected. One rep told me their line is currently busy so do this promotion and then call back in an hour. The other rep said she would connect me after the promotion. So it is obviously a scam. Their phone number is 1-800-356-0709.
