Vehicle Processing Center Reports & Reviews (24)

I have received several calls (different numbers), voicemails and postal mail within the last week stating that my vehicle warranty has expired from "The Vehicle Guard" (on-caller ID) but introduced as Vehicle Processing Center. The guy I spoke with stated that he had options for me to consider regarding extending my warranty. I know this is a scam due to me setting up a vehicle warranty when I first brought my truck in 2018.

- Saint Paul, MN, USA

Scam caller who asked me questions about my car. As soon as I said stop calling me she hung up. Called back the number and it ran a message from Nation's Auto Protection.

- Albany, NY, USA

Phone call stated that my car was no longer under warrantee.

Correctly identified the auto company.

Since I purchased a 7 yr bumper to bumper warrantee from the dealership, I knew it was scam.

- Hartland, WI, USA

The caller identified himself as Peter Swanson from Vehicle Processing Center. When I asked where the company was out of, he indicated he was at their Irvine, CA location, but that they had locations all over the country because they worked with all dealerships to provide extended warranties to their vehicles. I pretended to be interested and listened to the options, and confirmed by interest and understanding when asked. Basically, they wanted me to pay up front (a portion of the full policy price) for a policy that could not be provided to me until that payment was processed. They reiterated that this payment would be completely refundable for 30 days following the payment date, and after that 30 days, it would be refunded on a prorated basis-"You are never under contract, so you will always receive at least a prorated amount of any amount you pay upon cancellation." I agreed. When they asked for my address, I provided them with a local law firm - I never provided my name, and the car model and mileage I provided was also fake. They then asked what credit card I would like to use. I informed them that they never provided me an amount. They said they just needed to know what kind of card first (i.e., Visa, MC or Amex). I then said I did not want to pay until I at least saw a draft of what they were offering, or received something by mail. They hung up. The number could not be called back.

- Buford, GA, USA

I receive harassing phone calls every day from someone claiming to be the "Vehicle Processing Center" to discuss my vehicle's "extended warranty." It is a different person and phone number every time. Some days, I receive over 5 calls. They ask for "Justin," when there is no one by that name, and they reference a vehicle I have never owned. No matter how many times I explain this, it never stops. I asked, "Where are you located?" The woman replies, "We are in Florida but have businesses throughout the country."

The caller claims to be calling regarding my vehicle's extended warranty about to expire. I usually hang up or tell them I know it's a scam so I haven't gotten any further than the call introduction

- New York, NY, USA

Calling about a vehicle I don't own. 20 calls in 2 weeks

different people from different phone numbers keep calling me saying there with ford about my auto warranty and it seems like there trying to get me to say the word yes ,which at first i did.

- New York, NY, USA

They call and claim there is an issue with my car's warranty. I don't own a car so this is obviously a scam.

They try to get the details of my car from me. When I give them the make and model of a car that I know was never manufactured (a model that wasn't made that year), they try to "extend" my existing warranty.

This so-called company calls me daily from a different number that I block every time. I have tried to follow promtps and have reached a human 3 times to request the removal of my number per federal law. They hang up on me every time before i can get the words out of my mouth. Even if this is a legitimate business, their invasive and illegal business practices are disruptive and frustrating at the very least. There needs to be a class action suit against this company if it is legitimate or the feds need to bust this scam.

- Newark, NJ, USA

Calls me several times indicating they have a payment plan for my vehicle.

Asked for my personal info (which I do not release).

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Called 7 times to my cell phone, sometimes did not answer. Finally answered and they claimed to work directly with Mercedes-Benz to offer an extended warranty on a 11 year old E350 with 150k miles. Whether to warranty actually existed or not is irrelevant to the fact these scams will not repair the majority of Auto repairs anyways. Double that with the irritated person on the other end, once I don’t take the bait. Best case, this is harassment, worst case it’s a total scam.

- Wells, NV, USA

they call me 5 times a day trying to sell me an extended warranty. and there is no words I can say that will get them to stop.

Tell them your car has 350,000 miles on it. That’s what I did and they hung up

- Rio Rancho, NM, USA

IDK who they are or why they need *** so bad but they call every day and it is pathetic. They call and harass me, call me names, are rude and this needs to stop. So, I turned it around on them today and called them back. They said things like "I don't know my own name, I'm a ***, I have nothing better to do." They have nothing better to do. They've been asking for *** for about 5 years now. I don't know what *** did in a past life but she might want to get with these people. I bet they've messed up her credit or something. Also, whoever *** is, the "student loan" department is also looking for you. The number they called from today is ###-###-#### but I have blocked numerous other numbers from them.

- Fairfield, IA, USA

This is a Scam to sell you a warranty on cars you don't own. They called me 17 times about a car I do not own nor ever have.

- Morrisville, NC, USA

I have received multiple calls from this number 919-679-9108, saying they're from the Vehicle Processing Center where they're the underwriter for Acura and calling to see if I still have my Acura. Every call I get a different year and the call is regarding a warranty, that my car never had. I call the number back, they're able to retrieve my information but each call someone else answers the phone and says they're giving me a call, (even though I called them). I asked if I could get their website information "we do not have a website", I asked if I could get their email "we do not have email", when I said it sounds like a scam to me, they ask why and proceed to inform me that the reason they have the wrong information is because it's "data entry error, have I ever heard of it before?", when I tell them that they're a fraud they say I'm a fraud and hang up the phone. One cursed at me which baffled me. I suggest someone look into this, before they take someone's money. You can actually call the number directly and have a convo with these [censored].

Called a few times verifying name and type of vehicle you drive to get warranty. When asked to provide detail information about the company, like how they got my #, they stated that I have inquire about getting warranty. I asked where this was located and they said Florida. I wanted more information, but they decline to provide information and hung up. I called a few times from a blocked number and they were still able to verify the name they have. Unsure how, but when asked about getting information, they hung up. This is a scam and NEVER did inquire with anything. Please shut them down completely and charge them for stealing information, harrass, scam, & everything else on top of it.

- Long Valley, NJ, USA

I have received over 20 calls from this dealer processing center calling about the warranty on my vehicle. I have a new car and this is definitely a scam. They keep calling every day from a different phone number and leaving a voicemail.

Excessive phone calls even after being put on the do not call list. No physical street address given by three separate agents including two “supervisors”

- Bronx, NY, USA

I've been receiving daily phone calls for months from Nation's Auto located at 5480 W. Colfax Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80214 - also located at 1601 S Broadway, Denver CO 80210 and 1492 W. Alameda Avenue, Denver CO 80223 under the pseudonym "The Vehicle Processing Center" representing themselves in Jacksonville, FL. I've declined the offers for warranty coverage for my vehicle because I'm not driving. They've ignored my personal requests and continue to violate my constitutional rights after they've been told that I'm on a national DO NOT CALL LIST. They're always trying to assume the vehicle information - year, make, model and they try to perform telephonic transactions as far as payments for car warranty coverage. I've noticed several different accents in an effort to sound American which is caused my distrust of this company and the fact that they are relentless means that they have no value for the law.
